In the U.S., Scholastic wants even more people to share how important reading is to them. Scholastic has invited every first lady or gentleman across the country to become a Reading Ambassador and support Read For 2007: Read For Life. This year, Scholastic will donate 500 books to a RIF program in their state. RIF is a proud supporter of Read For 2007. This initiative offers a great opportunity to get the whole community involved in promoting literacy to our nation's children. Check out these downloadable resources to use in your program, and don't forget to encourage your RIF kids to get involved in "Kids Pick For 2007," where they can vote for their favorite books for kids to read in 2007.
