Before joining RIF, Patel served for six years as the IT director at Inspection & Control Services (ICS), a multi-national corporation focused on customs modernization, trade facilitation and E-government services worldwide. He worked closely with the customs departments of various countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, enhancing those governments' revenue collection through inspection and fraud detection of import declarations. He was the chief architect of ICS Price Research System, a patented web-based system that coordinates the activities of ICS’s global price research and intelligence gathering activities. Patel earned his Bachelor’s degree in the Management of Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Greenwich, England. |

As Chief Information Officer, Peter Patel brings to Reading Is Fundamental over 12 years experience in managing information technology for both corporate and nonprofit organizations. Joining RIF in January of 2005, he successfully led the organization’s conversion of paper-based contract management to a fully automated web-based system, connecting the RIF national office to 3,500 local RIF programs throughout the United States
