Thanks to a generous grant from Capital One Financial Corporation, more than 56,000 children and their families now have an opportunity to participate in RIF’s Family of Readers' program. Chief Financial Officer Gary Perlin announced the three-year, $1.25 million commitment at RIF's first annual Gift of Reading Gala in Washington in 2005. Family of Readers programs help parents develop the skills and self-assurance to take a leading role in supporting their children’s reading habits.
