Mary Azarian Mary Azarian has illustrated more than 40 books, including Snowflake Bentley, a picture book that won the Caldecott Award. Snowflake Bentley is about a famous Vermont photographer of snow crystals. She also works with woodblocks and spends a lot of time gardening. Many of her prints reflect her love of gardening. She lives on a small farm in Vermont.
