Illustrator Kevin Hawkes is drawn to all kinds of artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and even papier-mâché. One grade school project involved making a life-size mountaineer out of papier-mâché, complete with an axe.
Kevin’s work is often whimsical and quirky, but he also values creating realistic, detailed art. He lives with his family on an island off of Maine, where they camp and make crafts together.
