RIF Parents Handout
 Help engage the parents of your RIF kids with a free, easy handout!
RIF knows that one of your greatest challenges is reaching the parents and guardians of the kids you serve. So RIF is testing a new tool to help you encourage parents to read more with their children and become more engaged with your RIF program. RIF developed this tool with two criteria in mind:
- it must be easy for coordinators to use, and
- it must include valuable literacy information for RIF parents.
Using RIF's mascot Riffington, we created a simple one-page, two-sided, black and white document that you can copy and send home with the children in your program. On one side, there is a letter to parents that encourages involvement in the RIF program and provides tips for reading with their children. On the reverse side, there is a family oriented coloring page featuring Riffington.
We encourage you to download and distribute this new parent engagement tool for use at your next book distribution.
