Activity Log and Celebration Summary

Purpose
The goal of ¡Leamos Juntos!: Let's Read Together 2007 MLF Hispanic Community Reading Challenge is to bring Hispanic children, families, and the community together to participate in four fun-filled, exciting literacy-related activities and a Community Reading Celebration.

Activity and Reading Celebration Planning
Each activity must include the following amount of continuous reading with participants:

Preschool to 2nd grade - 30 minutes
3rd grade to 6th grade - 45 minutes
7th grade to 12th grade - 60 minutes

Activity and Reading Celebration Reporting
Once you have planned and held your activity and Community Reading Celebration, provide the information below. All sections of the Activity Log and Celebration Summary are required and must be completed in order to be submitted online.

RIF must receive all Activity logs and Summary Statements by April 13, 2007.

All entry materials submitted by RIF sites becomes the property of Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF) and will not be returned.

RIF is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, damaged, mutilated, postage-due, incomplete, or illegible entries.. Leamos Juntos!: The 2007 RIF Community Reading Challenge is open only to children and adults affiliated with approved RIF sites, or those who have been invited to participate by approved sites.

By submitting entries to Leamos Juntos!: The 2007 RIF Community Reading Challenge, RIF site leaders and participants agree to abide by these rules, warrant and represent that their participation has followed the terms and guidelines of the challenge contest, and grant to Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use their entries and reports of challenge activities without further notice or compensation.

All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to release Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. from any and all liability for injuries or damages of any kind sustained through use of a prize after accepted. No cash substitutions, transfers, or reassignments of prizes allowed, except those deemed necessary by Reading Is Fundamental, Inc., such as in the case of product unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.

By accepting state and national titles and accompanying prizes, each winning RIF site grants to Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. the right to use the RIF project name, address, and descriptive information for purposes of promotion without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law.

By entering the contest, entrants accept and agree to these rules.
