Award Details

Three national winners will be selected - one to represent each of RIF's regional units. The three winners and their nominators will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to be honored at RIF's Gift of Reading Gala. The awardees will also receive a $500 grant for their RIF program and the opportunity to visit with RIF staff and board members, as well as congressional representatives in Washington, D.C.

RIF is grateful to Macy's for its generous support as the National Lead Partner for Volunteer Engagement. Giving back is one of Macy's core values, in large part through Macy's employee volunteer program, Partners in Time, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Macy's volunteers impacted their communities with 1.6 million hours of service since 1989, valued as a $27 million contribution to those nonprofit organizations they serve. Macy's volunteers were honored to receive the Points of Light/Hands On Network's Award for Excellence in Workplace Volunteerism and a third of Macy's volunteer projects benefit education, children and school partnerships.
