Kiwanis International
Kiwanis InternationalFounded in 1915, Kiwanis International boasts more than 600,000 members in 96 countries around the world, all working toward bettering the lives of children and young adults. With a motto of "Serving the Children of the World," Kiwanis has truly put this slogan into action with its strong commitment to encouraging children's literacy. Kiwanis clubs across the country run close to 200 RIF programs. This relationship has flourished under the Kiwanis "Young Children: Priority One" service project, which aims to help children from birth to age 5, with Reading Is Fundamental as one of its designated partners. Thanks to the dedication of Kiwanians nationwide, thousands of RIF kids each year get to experience the joy of choosing a book for their very own.

Verizon Foundation's Thinkfinity Literacy Network offers an array of online activities, lesson plans, and information to support literacy instruction and programs.

Its Newspaper in Education program reaffirms a commitment to the community by bringing their most important asset, the newspaper, into hundreds of schools daily throughout the year. KidsPost, an innovative division of the Washington Post, is a daily kids page and book club that encourages children to read.

10th Annual Anne Richardson Volunteer of the Year Award Winners
The Anne Richardson RIF Volunteer of the Year Awards (VOYA) program recognizes the inspiring work of the hundreds of thousands of RIF volunteers and volunteer coordinators who donate their time, talents, and energy to motivate children to read. These individuals share a common goal of fostering children's literacy through their efforts at nearly 21,000 RIF sites across the country. The awards program celebrates the dedication and service of truly outstanding volunteers and recognizes their contributions to their communities.
