  • How long were you in the RIF program? Three years.

  • As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Top model and newscaster.

  • Now that you are grown up, what do you do? Wife, mother, and administrative assistant for Reading Is Fundamental. I have also encouraged my children and their children to read.

  • Favorite childhood book: Caps for Sale, Green Eggs and Ham, and Curious George.

  • What children’s book character are you most like? Curious George.

  • 60'sFavorite RIF memory: Whenever I was hospitalized in Children's Hospital, the bookmobile would come around and I would be very excited to receive a new book.

  • Do you still have any of your RIF books? Unfortunately not.

  • What do you read now? All types of fiction and nonfiction books.
