Donate By Leaving a Bequest
A planned gift to Reading Is Fundamental helps to ensure the future of the programs we provide in your community and nationwide and can further your financial goals. You can make a charitable gift by naming RIF as a beneficiary in your will. The federal government encourages these gifts or bequests, by allowing an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction.
The following language can be used to create a bequest to Reading Is Fundamental.
"I hereby bequeath (amount or percentage of estate), to be used for purposes of endowment, to Reading Is Fundamental, a non-profit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the District of Columbia, and with principal address of 1825 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC, 20009."
