RIF's Reputation
As the nation's oldest and largest children's and family literacy nonprofit organization, RIF has a long-standing and credible history.

  • RIF has been contracted with the U.S. Department of Education since 1976.
  • Parents magazine listed RIF as a featured charity in its December 2005 "Gifts From the Heart" article.
  • For the fourth consecutive year RIF has received a high rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest independent evaluator of charities.
  • The RIF website received the Parents' Choice Silver Honors Award in March 2006.
