Grow a Green Planet

Helping the planet doesn’t have to be hard. Just by dedicating some time each day to cleaning up the environment, you’ll be making Earth a better place.

Materials:
• Calendar template
• Pencil or pen

Ages:
6-8, 9-12, 13+

1. Print out the calendar template and post it on your bulletin board, refrigerator, or anyplace else where you will be sure to see it each day.
2. Make a commitment to helping the planet this month. Ask a friend or family member if they would help you with your plan.
3. At least three times a week, do something to benefit the environment. For example, you can set up a recycling station in your kitchen, turn off the lights when you leave the room, or organize a bake sale to raise money to save the rainforests.
4. Each time you complete a task, write it on your calendar. By the end of the month, you’ll be able to see what a difference you’ve made!
