Bookplates
Bookplates were first used long ago when books were very rare. The owner of a book would glue a bookplate into the front inside cover to make sure that everyone knew who owned the book. That way if the book was ever borrowed or lost, it would have its owner’s name inside.
Today there are many different kinds of bookplates. You can print out the following bookplates, cut them, color them, and paste, glue, or tape them into your own books at home.
Please note: These documents are in PDF format. You will you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to view each document.
