Summary:	The summer Opal and her father, the preacher, move to Naomi, Florida, Opal goes into the Winn-Dixie supermarket -- and comes out with a dog. With the help of her new pal, whom she names Winn-Dixie, Opal makes a variety of new, interesting friends and spends the summer collecting stories about them and thinking about her absent mother. I think Because Of Winn Dixie was a GREAT book. I really like it. It was one of the best books i have ever read.

I thought it was a great book. I read it when I was a little bit younger, though so I don't remember quite everything. I mostly liked it because I love love love animals and it was a cute story. I liked the sweet sad candy, that was smart of the author to add that little something in there. I would recommend this book and I hope other kids enjoy it just as much as I did.
