I read this book and I really liked it! It's no wonder it won a Newberry; Christopher Paul Curtis is such a powerful writer. This book is really funny! You should read it!

I read this with my class once when we all had to read out loud together. I always read ahead of everyone because it was so good. My favorite part was when he first met Miss Thomas and all of her jewerly was shining in the light. I liked the picture that Miss Thomas showed Bud of his mother. Her eyes were always looking at him.
