When Stanley Yelnats is wrongly convicted of stealing a famous basketball player's sneakers, he decides to serve his time at Camp Green Lake in Texas rather than go to jail. But Camp Green Lake is really a juvenile detention center with no lake and nothing green about it. This amusing story is a joy to read, and addresses some serious issues.

This book is amazing! It's thrilling through the whole book and all the pieces of the puzzle fit together at the end of it! Definitely a good teen book!

This book is pretty well done. I certainly don't recommend this book for young children, but kids 10 and older should enjoy it.

Well, I think this book was very descriptive and good. However it would be even better if it was more for teens.

This book is great! I love Holes! My favorite part is when it rains at Camp Green Lake and everybody goes outside to feel the rain. I have the book and the movie. Holes is the greatest!!!!!!
