Summary: When a bus driver takes a break from his route, a very unlikely volunteer springs up to take his place -- a pigeon! But you've never met one like this before. As he pleads, wheedles, and begs his way through the book, children will love being able to answer back and decide his fate.

In his hilarious picture book debut, popular cartoonist Mo Willems perfectly captures a preschooler's temper tantrum.

My mom read me this and we both love it. I ask her to read it to me over and over. I even like to shout "dont let the pigeon ride the bus" when I see pigeons around .

Review:

I'm an Elementary Education major and I'm taking a Children's Literature class this semester. We were required to do reports on Caldecott winner and I chose this one on a whim. It is one of the funniest books I have ever had the privilege to read! I laughed all the way through it, and I'm 21. It makes an excellent read-aloud in the classroom, and I'll buy it for my own children. A must have for anyone who takes humor very seriously!
