Leigh Botts has been author Boyd Henshaw's No. 1fan ever since he was in second grade. Now in sixth grade, Leigh lives with his mother and is the new kid at school. This is a really good book. I read it in 5th grade. I felt bad for Lee when his dog had to go with his dad when his mom and dad got a divorce.

I read this book about 4 times and loved it so much I had all my friends read it and they all loved it and they had some of their friends read it, too. The best oart in the book is where Leigh's dad visits him.

Leigh is mad about several things, that someone keeps stealing all the good things out of his lunchbox, his parents divorced, his dad won't call him, Mr.Henshaw sent him ten questions that his mom made him answer, his mom won't fix the TV, and that his dad loses Leigh's dog named Bandit. By the end of the book, he makes a new friend named Barry and finds out that he can't always count on his dad.

I liked this book because Leigh reminded me of my cousin; my aunt and uncle aren't divorced, they're separated.
