Ramona Quimby is a character intimately known by Beverly Cleary readers. In this story of Ramona's year in second grade they will come to know Mr. Quimby equally well. As it opens he loses his job without warning, and Ramona's 7-year-old view of this all-too-frequently family crisis rings every change of mood from tears to laughter.

I loved this book even though Ramona's father smokes.

I liked this book because you never knew what could happen. I like it that Ramona helped her father quit smoking. I especially liked her lamb costume at the end of the book.

I really like this book. I liked and thought it was a cool idea that Ramona and her father took a big piece of paper and drew on it.

I think this was a funny book and I enjoyed reading about Ramona getting prickers stuck in her hair and how her father helped her!! I love Ramona.
