Beverly Cleary draws a portrait of a little girl discovering with astonishment that the way others see her is not always the way she sees herself. In the contrast lie moments of emerging self-knowledge for Ramona and of delicious hilarity for the reader.

The book is about an 8-year-old girl. She has to sleep in the same room. She finally gets her own room, not with her sister.

I liked this book because it was funny. My favorite part was when Ramona wanted to go a different way to school and a dog scared her. I didn't like where Ramona got mad at her cat because she thought the cat was a monster. I liked this book a lot.
