Today in gym class, we were supposed to run the mile – outside! We all got bundled up for the cold weather, but when we got to the gym, Coach McSwatt wasn’t there. | snow all over his coat. His jacket ripped but he did not get injured! The girl said, "I'm glad he didn't get hurt." Everybody kept going up the mountain, and then they ran into a wolf. One of the girls yelled, "Look Ms. Bristow, a wolf!" The wolf growled really loud. Everybody started running down the mountain. One girl was just standing there. Ms. Bristow yelled, "Come here now!" | because she was scared to death! "Come here now!" demanded Ms. Bristow, but it was no use - the girl was frozen solid. A boy named Billy bravely went up and started pulling her down the mountain,but then all of a sudden he tripped and he and the girl went silding down the slope and snagged on a tree branch. The wolf was getting closer and CLOSER, but then out of the blue came Billy's dog, Ranger! The dog had heard the wolves growling. Ranger was a lot bigger than the wolf and as soon as the were almost nose to nose the wolf realized how huge he really was

| and the wolf quickly ran away. The terrified kids slowly slid down the mountain and walked back into the gym. Inside the gym there was a table with hot cocoa and extra marshmallows. As the kids sat down Ms. Bristow made an announcement that the kids would not climb the mountain anymore but tomorrow they would be doing the mile run after all. The end.
