Luck of the Irish

Janey's mom always brought in St. Patrick's Day treats for her class. This year, her mom planned to bring green cupcakes, but she had a big project for work come up at the last minute. Janey got put in charge of the cupcakes, which made her a little nervous - she usually had bad luck in the kitchen. Very slowly and carefully, Janey stirred in green food dye to the cupcake mix. So far, so good. Then, something awful happened ...

Janey's dog came into the kitchen. He loved to eat. He jumped up on the counter and stuck his face in the bowl. Janey pulled him away. There was nothing in the bowl! Then

she decided that she'd buy some at the store. Even though her mother said "don't leave," she didn't listen to her mother. When she got to the store, she bought 2 boxes with 18 cupcakes in each. Each had a picture of a green person. Then, when she got home one of the green people said, "You aren't listening to your mother! Once the kids taste me they will puke!" She thought it just her imagination. So the next day

Janey brought the cupcakes to school. She passed out the cupcakes. Everybody was wearing green. Then they licked the icing of the cupcakes and got itchy all over their bodies. After scratching for two minutes, Janey and her friends all turned GREEN! Then there was an announcement

Everyone heard the principal say over the intercom "There is a terrible virus going around school. I called the parents of the students and they will be here shortly." Then one of the kids turned to Janey and said "because of your cupcakes we can't have our St. Patrick's Day party!" Then he went to the corner of the room to get his backpack but when he touched it

an alarm sounded. The backpack and everything around it turned green. But to his and Janey's surprise, growing out of the backpack was a four-leaf clover .Janey found it first. She ran over to it. She hoped that the clover magic would work. She made a wish that everything would go back to normal. And it did! The end.
