Teacher Appreciation Week 2008
During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6–12), encourage your children to shower their teachers with thanks and praise. According to a 2007 National Education Association (NEA) poll, the top three gifts teachers like to receive from their students are:
-
Hearing the words thank you/receiving a thank you card (48 percent).
-
Receiving a spa or other gift certificate (30 percent).
-
An appreciation breakfast or lunch (15 percent).
So start the week off by having your children send RIF's adorable Teacher Appreciation eCard (pictured above) to their teachers—past and present.
