Prizes for RIF's "I Love Animals" Writing Contest

RIF's "I Love Animals" writing contest ran from February 14 - March 31, 2007 for kids ages 5-15. Visit the main contest page to learn more. Click here to see the official rules.

Prizes:
Entries will be sorted into three age groups: ages 5-8, 9-11, and 12-15. There will be one grand prize winner and three runners up in each age group category, with a total of 12 prizes.

Three grand prize winners will receive:

	A $35 gift certificate to Amazon.com.
	The National Geographic "Animal Adventure" prize pack which includes a subscription to National Geographic Kids Magazine (for winners ages 5-11) or National Geographic Magazine (for winners ages 12-15), an Encyclopedia of Animals, and a March of the Penguins book and DVD.
	Your winning story featured on RIF's Reading Planet and National Geographic Kids website.
	An Interactive Atlas for your school library or class!

Nine honorable mentions will receive:

The National Geographic "Animal Fun" prize pack which includes a subscription to National Geographic Kids Magazine (for winners ages 5-11) or National Geographic Magazine (for winners ages 12-15) and a March of the Penguins book and DVD.

All winners will have their entries posted on RIF.org's Reading Planet website for kids and the National Geographic Kids website. RIF kindly thanks National Geographic for the generous donation of prize packs and support of the "I Love Animals" writing contest.
