Macy'sDuring the back to school season, Macy's and RIF joined forces for the "Back to Books" program to provide new books and literacy resources to children nationwide. Macy's customers had the opportunity to donate $3 to RIF in any Macy's Kids Department. Colgate-Palmolive Company
In 2005, Colgate-Palmolive renewed its partnership with RIF to provide new book collections to children and families who need them most. Colgate-Palmolive promoted its affiliation with RIF through a national radio campaign, newspaper inserts, and in-store displays in select retailers during the "back-to-school" season. Consumers who shopped at their local grocery and drug stores had the opportunity to "give the gift of reading" through a special offer on select Colgate-Palmolive products.

Nestle Toll House Cafes

From July 17-November 30, Nestlé Toll House Cafés invited customers to "Chip In For Reading"! At the cash register, customers added a $1.00 donation onto their purchase. Customers got to put their name on a paper "cookie" which was posted in the café, and received a bookmark reminding them to read with their child. The bookmark encouraged customers to fill-out the names of 6 books that they read with their children in order to be redeemed for 6 free mini-cookies.
