We are looking for a Front End Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include layout and implementation in content management and marketing automation tools and updating content across all of RIF's platforms. You will work with stakeholders, designers, and developers and provide the critical bridge between graphic design and light technical implementation, playing a role to help both design and technology function together. 


  • Leverage and maintain library of graphics for regular changes to the website, following brand style guide.
  • Identify style guide gaps to work with design to create standards that can be applied for future use cases.
  • Implement designs on pages in Drupal CMS and marketing automation tools
  • Understand and leverage reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ability to create layouts for Web page and other electronic media with a strict commitment and adherence to mobile first design workflows
  • Skilled in user experience methods and wireframing
  • Collaborate with staff on web design concepts, layouts and strategies, and defending approaches and rationale when necessary.
  • Update Websites (LN, .org, LC) with copy and content on a daily basis, ensuring editorial calendar guidelines are met

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with front end development/layout for web and mobile applications
  • Detail Oriented and Organized
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • At minimum, basic HTML and CSS skills with preference for candidates that are knowledgeable of front-end development workflows and have proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Proficient in UI and print layout best practices
  • Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Mastery of the production process including asset generation and exporting for all mediums
  • Demonstrate experience in responsive web design
