RIF's 60th Anniversary Highlighted Book for 1976. The story is about the Logan family, who live in Mississippi during the Depression. The family experiences racism and injustice.
The Gingerbread Girl is speedy, bold, and clever—and everyone remembers how she outwitted that tricky fox in her first big adventure. Now she’s back, and this time she’s looking after a brand‑new batch of friends: the animal crackers! They’re wild, they’re wiggly, and they definitely don’t want to listen to the Gingerbread Girl’s smart advice. But if they’re not careful, that sneaky fox might turn all of them into snacks.
