Sounder

Set in the Deep South in the 19th century, the story is about a poor African American sharecropper family and their coon dog, Sounder. The family struggles to find enough food to eat, but one day, food miraculously appears on their table. The sheriff accuses them of theft, but Sounder sets out to help his family get through this crisis.
