Leveled Reading Passage: Minnows

After reading Over and Under the Pond, choose from three leveled reading passages that connect to the book’s themes, concepts, characters, settings, or subject matter. Each passage is written at a different level of text complexity to support a range of readers within the grade level.

Use the Lexile measures as one tool to help determine which passage is appropriate for each student. The passages are designed as supplementary texts that students can read independently or with appropriate support to build fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

The three stars on each page indicate the passage level: Easy, Medium, or Hard.
