Word Root Lesson on “Struct”

Another name for a teacher is instructor. The word instructor contains the word root struct, which means to build. Teachers “build” many things through their instruction—students’ knowledge, vocabulary, confidence, and reading comprehension.

Many English words include the root struct, and all of them connect to the idea of building. Use this lesson to invite students to explore the word root struct, learn how it appears in different words, and strengthen their vocabulary, background knowledge, and comprehension through a fun, meaningful morphology activity.
