RIF's 60th Anniversary Highlighted Book for 1997. An adventure series featuring George Beard and Harold Hutchins, two fourth-graders from Piqua, Ohio. They start a comic book series called Treehouse Comix Inc. Accidentally, their superhero, Captain Underpants, becomes real. Many adventures follow and many involve the cranky principal of their school, Mr. Krupp.
