Carly Vega lives with her older brother, studies hard, and works the graveyard shift at a convenience store to earn enough to bring her deported parents back from Mexico. Arden Moss used to be the star quarterback at school, dating popular blondes and finding mischevious ways to ease the pain of his sister's death. When their paths cross, they each realize they've been living according to the wishes of others. The two team up to bring Arden's father, the town sheriff, to justice in light of his crooked ways - and also embark on a journey toward their true hearts, and one another.
