My Side of the Mountain

The story of Sam Gribley, a 13-year-old boy who runs away from his crowded New York City apartment to his abandoned great grandfather’s farm in the Catskill Mountains. Along with his pet peregrine falcon he learns survival skills and makes friends with other animals, including a weasel named The Baron. Sam’s big adventure is surviving a snowstorm.
