Resources

Welcome to RIF’s community support center offering a suite of resources to support your local literacy activities and RIF program implementation. RIF aims to provide customizable tools and turnkey guides to make working with RIF as easy and efficient as possible. This section includes ideas, resources, and information any local literacy supporter can leverage ranging from marketing and event support to how to fundraise for a RIF program.

Marketing & Event Support

Here you will find resources, templates and information to help promote and publicize your book celebration events and create fun and excitement among the students and volunteers participating in your RIF programs.

Fundraising Support

Resources to help secure funding support for local literacy activities is one of the most frequent requests the RIF team receives.  We created a Fundraising is Fundamental guide and related resources to suggest strategies and provide sample messaging to help you get you started raising money.

Volunteer Support

RIF programs are a success because of the many volunteers that make them possible. Here you will find a Volunteer Guide and related resources that will provide ideas and insights into how to find volunteers, types of jobs that volunteers can support, and even how to thank and recognize volunteers.

Quick Guides

RIF has developed a series of Quick Guides to provide at-a-glance overviews and how-to’s. Take a look at tips for caregivers and educators across a broad spectrum of literacy topics, more in-depth guides to support program implementation as well as RIF’s comprehensive Read-Aloud Guide with tips on reading aloud for all age ranges.

Webinars

RIF hosts webinars throughout the year across various topics to support our partners with relevant resources and educational materials ranging from how to apply for a matching grant, implementing a successful Books for Ownership program, to how to do a read aloud. All RIF webinars are archived for your continued use.

Best Practices

One of the values of the RIF community is the opportunity to learn from one another about what is working.  Take a look at activities from RIF program sites from across the country to find new ideas and tips for your next book celebration event.
