In 2021, RIF launched an exclusive giving society to honor the dedication and financial commitment of RIF’s most ardent and generous supporters.

Entitled, “The 1966 Society,” paying homage to the year Reading Is Fundamental was founded by Margaret McNamara, this group is composed of the influential leaders of the RIF movement who have pledged at least $10,000 annually, or who have made the thoughtful decision to include RIF in their estate plans to support RIF’s mission.

The 1966 Society is chaired by long-time supporter and former RIF Board of Directors member Christy Moberly. Former RIF Board of Directors Chairwoman and life-long supporter, Lynda Johnson Robb, will provide leadership to this distinguished group as Honorary Co-Chair.
