After reading The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson, use this Memory Matching puzzle for a fun way to remember the story and to help your child become familiar with the book's vocabulary words. Cut out the words you want to use for the game. Have them find matching pairs of words to complete the game. Start with 4 – 6 word pairs to match. You may also want to start with all of the pairs face up, so they can just match the words at first. Then turn them face down to make it a memory game, where they try to remember and turn over matching pairs.
