We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our Finance team and help safeguard the financial integrity that powers our mission.The Staff Accountant serves as a critical pillar of the Finance Department, ensuring the integrity of financial data through meticulous transaction management, rigorous reconciliations, and proactive support of the month-end close process. Working under the guidance of the Controller, this role maintains the high standards of accuracy, accountability, and transparency required for the organization’s fiscal health.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and execute complex journal entries to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
  • Perform comprehensive monthly account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Accurately process, code, and enter all deposits and cash receipts into the accounting system, maintaining a clear audit trail.
  • Lead the recording and reconciliation of book and collateral inventory, partnering with internal teams to align physical counts with financial records.
  • Support the Controller and CFO in preparing audit schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with additional accounting, financial, or administrative projects as assigned by the Controller or CFO.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to build strong relationships across finance and non-finance teams.

Salary, work environment, and benefits:

  • Annual Salary: Up to $72,000 - $76,000

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%.
  • Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary role. Requires operating standard office equipment, regular use of telephone and computer, continuous typing and screen viewing. Occasional light lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
