Tar Beach

"My favorite children's book is Tar Beach. The illustrations are incredible and vividly bring to life the dream world the children escape into."

Kiah Rhode joined RIF in 2023 as a contract Project Manager and currently serves as the Senior Manager, Programs. In this role, they lead project activation for RIF’s corporate partners, ensuring high-quality program implementation and strong partner engagement across all initiatives. Kiah studied Humanities at the University of Maryland, grounding their work in a broad understanding of culture, communication, and community impact.

Prior to joining RIF, Kiah led older youth programming at Martha’s Table and designed and implemented social-emotional learning (SEL) programming for Urban Alliance, bringing deep experience in youth development and program design to their work at RIF.
