Mary Jean Byrne joined as the Program Coordinator in November 2025. Before joining RIF, she lived in Seville, Spain where she worked as an English teacher at a secondary school. While working with students ages 12 to 16 years old, she discovered her love for education.
Mary Jean graduated from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Mathematics. She is just as passionate about math as she is about reading.
