New Reading Corner Unveiled at The Mount Washington School

Baltimore’s The Mount Washington School unveiled a new addition to their library: a bright, lively and comfortable reading corner with a nautical-themed mural and full of curated books, thanks to Reading Is Fundamental and Amazon! 

To celebrate this momentous occasion, RIF hosted a celebration event that started with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a special guest appearance of Life Really Socks author, Shidan Youssefian, who performed engaging read-alouds for the children. 

After interacting with the guest author, the Mount Washington students selected fun books to own and take home. They were joined by about 30 Amazon who volunteers engaged with the students through guided activities about the book. It was a day filled with reading joy!
